If you wish to leave Alfa-kassan, you can do this through Min anslutning. Your membership will end on the last day of the month. Please contact us if you wish to leave earlier.
You may leave Alfa-kassan on the same day we receive your written notification. However, to avoid leaving a gap, we recommend that you request to leave us on the last day of the month. You can then apply for membership at another unemployment insurance fund the following month. The length of your membership in the former unemployment insurance fund will therefore be credited to your new one. It is important to avoid a gap between the memberships because otherwise, you will not be eligible to receive income based benefits. This is because one of the requirements for income based benefits is that you have been a member for at least 12 months.
If you do not pay your fees, you will still be a member for the following three months. After this, you will no longer be a member. However you still have to pay for all the months you were registered with us, including the three last ones.
