Do the previous rules apply to me?

If you received a decision about benefits before October 1, 2025, and have benefit days left, the previous rules apply to you.

How much benefit can I get?

How much benefit you can get depends on how much you have worked and how much you have earned. Whether you are a member and, if so, for how long, also affects your benefit.

Member for 12 months or longer

Your benefit may be based on your previous income if you have been a member for at least 12 consecutive months.

  • Benefit days 1–100: 80 percent of your previous income, up to SEK 1,236.

  • Benefit days 101–200: 80 percent of your previous income, up to SEK 1,000.

  • Benefit days 201–300: 70 percent of your previous income, up to SEK 1,00.

Member for less than 12 months

You may qualify for basic benefits if you have been a member for less than 12 months. You can receive up to SEK SEK 510, and at least SEK 255 per benefit day.

Not a member?

You can still apply for benefit through Alfa-kassan if you are not a member of any unemployment fund. You can receive up to SEK 510 and at least SEK 255 per benefit days. We deduct an administration fee of SEK 10 for each benefit day.

Receive benefit for 300 days

You can receive benefit for up to 300 benefit days, with a maximum of 5 days per week.

Submit time reports to receive benefit

You must submit time reports to receive benefits. Fill out the time report each week with information about what you have done. For example, whether you were unemployed or worked a few hours. Complete your time reports in Mina sidor under Rapportera tid. Do you not have an electronic ID? Contact us, and we will help you!

Submit reports weekly or several at a time

Submit a time report every week or submit several reports at the same time. You can submit your first time report after you have been registered with the Public Employment Service for at least one week. In most cases, we cannot pay benefit for time reports that are more than nine months old.

We pay benefit once a month

We pay benefit on the Thursday of the week that includes the 25th. If you send your time reports by mail, your payment may take longer. See upcoming payment dates

How to fill out the time report

  • Paper Write

    I am unemployed

If you are completely unemployed, check the box "Arbetslös" for the current day.

  • Penna I Fykant

I am participating in a program through Arbetsförmedlingen

You should not submit time reports to us when participating in a full-time program through Arbetsförmedlingen. Instead, you should apply for activity support from Försäkringskassan. Contact Försäkringskassan for more information.

    2. Divide the gross pay by 203, a standardized hourly wage amount.
    3. Enter the amount you receive, rounded to the nearest full or half hour, in the column "Arbete".
