Follow our guide

Use our step-by-step guide to receive a decision as quickly as possible. Remember that you also need to meet certain requirements to receive benefit. Please contact us if you have any questions.

1

Register at Arbetsförmedlingen

On your first day of unemployment, register at Arbetsförmedlingen. You do this by logging in on their website and answering some questions. You can receive unemployment benefits as early as the day you are registered.

Log in and register at Arbetsförmedlingen

2

Submit an application for benefits

You apply for benefits by logging in to our e-service Mina sidor and completing the form Ansökan om ersättning.

To qualify for benefits, you must have previously worked and meet the requirements for unemployment benefits. You can not receive any benefits if you have never worked.

3

Follow your to do-list

Once you have submitted your application, a to-do list is created on Mina sidor. This list outlines any additional tasks or documents you need to submit. You will receive a notification if new items are added.

4

Submit employer's certificate

We need an employer certificate (arbetsgivarintyg) for your most recent employment. Your employer can complete the certificate at arbetsgivarintyg.se.

Learn more about the employer's certificate at arbetsgivarintyg.nu

5

Check your contact details

You can verify your details on Mina sidor under Min profile and choose whether you want to receive notifications by email or SMS.

6

Submit your monthly application

We need your monthly application to be able to pay out your benefit. You can submit it once the entire month has passed. You have three months to submit your monthly application.

The contract can include information about your salary and working hours.
