When you participate in a programme
When you participate full-time in a programme through the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen), you are not entitled to benefits from us at Alfa-kassan. While you participate in the programme, you will instead receive activity grant from Försäkringskassan. Here you can read more about what we, Arbetsförmedlingen and Försäkringskassan do when you start a programme.
Arbetsförmedlingen
They decide whether you should start a programme and how long you should attend. They will notify both us and Försäkringskassan about the programme you will participate in.
Alfa-kassan
We decide how much benefits per day you can receive from Försäkringskassan when you participate in the programme. This is the same amount you would have received if you were unemployed and received unemployment benefits. We will inform Försäkringskassan our decision.
Försäkringskassan
They determine your benefits and pay activity grant while you participate in the programme. Make sure that you apply for activity grant from Försäkringskassan. Submit your application to them as soon as possible, otherwise you may not receive activity grant.
Good to know
- Submit a work certificate to us.
- Apply for activity grant from Försäkringskassan.
- Do not submit time reports to us while participating in the programme.
- If you decide to end your membership at Alfa-kassan, your activity grant may decrease.
- If you have been approved a period of 300 days with benefits from us, the days of activity grant will be deducted from that period. Försäkringskassan will inform us how many days will be deducted when the programme ends.
