How much can I receive?
How much can I receive in compensation?
Your compensation depends on your previous income and how long you have been a member during the qualification period. You must also have been a member during any months we skip due to sickness, parental leave, or full-time studies.
What does … mean?
Qualification period
This is a period of 12 months we use to check if you qualify for compensation. It starts with the month before you applied for compensation. We can sometimes skip months if you were sick, on parental leave, or studying full-time. If we do, we look further back so the qualification period still contains 12 months.
Compensation based on the length of your membership
-
Member for at least 12 months
You can receive 80 percent of your previous income if you have been a member during the whole qualification period, including any months we skipped. It means at least 12 months of membership, but it can be longer.
-
Member for the past 6 months
To receive 60 percent of your previous income, you must meet both of these two requirements:
You have been a member for the past 6 months of the qualification period.
You earned SEK 11 000 per month for four months during your membership.
-
Not a member at all
You can receive 50 percent of your previous income if you are not a member,
You can also receive 50 percent of your previous income if you are a member but do not meet the requirements for 80 or 60 percent.
The cap is SEK 34 000
The highest income we base the calculation on when we decide your compensation is SEK 34 000, even if you earned more than that. Therefore, the most you can receive is 80 percent of SEK 34 000, which is SEK 27 200 before tax.
Your compensation is reduced after 100 days
After 100 compensation days, your compensation is reduced by 10 percentage points
After 200 compensation, the compensation is reduced by another 5 percentage points
How long can I receive compensation?
How long you receive compensation depends on how many months during the qualification period you earned SEK 11 000.
At least 11 months: 300 days with compensation
8–10 months: 200 days with compensation
4–7 months: 100 days with compensation
If your total income has been less than SEK 120 000 but you earned at least SEK 11 000 in four consecutive months, you get 66 days with compensation.
