Those who use BankID will experience some changes when logging in to one of our e-services. In the future, you will be able to use a QR code and your BankID app will be launched automatically. This not only makes logging into our online services safer but also easier!

This change is something that all companies, organizations, and authorities using BankID need to implement to protect both their users and their online services. This will also be introduced for Freja Eid+ later on.

QR code for BankID on another device

You will use the QR code when you log in to your computer and identify yourself through Mobile BankID. This means that you will no longer have to fill in your social security number every time you log in to an e-service.

This is how the QR code works:

• Select the “BankID (annan enhet)” option when logging in
• Scan the QR code on your computer screen with your BankID app
• Confirm the login in the BankID app

Autostart on the same device

Autostart is used when you log in to the e-service with the same device that has the BankID app, usually your mobile phone. Now the BankID app will start automatically, which makes it faster and safer to login.

This is how autostart works:

• Select the “BankID (samma enhet)” option when logging in to the e-service.
• The BankID app opens automatically
• Confirm the login in the BankID app.
